Agilent GC-TCD/FID (for gases)
The Agilent GC-TCD/FID instrument is used for analysis of low molecular weight gases (H2, CO, CO2, methane etc.) and volatiles by direct injection.
The 7890B GC supports 2 columns:
- CS-Carbonplot 30m x 0.53 mm x 3 µm column for FID
- HP-Molsieve 30m x 0.53 mm x 25 µm column for TCD
Access: Walk-up open access
Carrier gas: helium, argon or nitrogen
Detectors; FID or TCD
Columns: CS-Carbonplot; HP-Molsieve
Software: Agilent Chemstation
Agilent/Markes Thermal Desorption GC-MS/FID
The Agilent GC-MS/FID with Markes Thermal Desorption (TD) autosampler is suited for analysis of low molecular weight volatiles. The Markes TD-100X autosampler has a 100 TD tube capacity with a cold trap (-30 oC) and advanced options for split/splitless and recapture mode injections.
The GC is an Agilent 7890 with post column split to FID and MS detectors. The MS is a single quadrupole detector operated in EI mode.
Access: walk-up open access
Carrier gas: helium
Ionization: EI
Analyzer: Single quad MS and FID
Software: MassHunter
Thermo GC-MS/FID (ISQD)
The Thermo GC-MS/FID (ISQD) supports Gemini dual tower autosampler injectors for either single (MS or FID) or dual mode (MS+FID) sample analysis.
The ISQD is a single quadrupole detector operated in EI mode. Each autosampler has 8-sample capacity.
Access: Walk-up open access
Carrier gas: helium
Ionization: EI
Analyzer: Single quad
Software: Chromeleon 7.1
Thermo TriPlus RSH Ultra GC-MS
The Thermo Ultra GC-MS has a single quadrupole detector operated in EI mode. The large capactiy (>200 sample vial bed) of the PAL TriPlus RSH autosampler allows for liquid, headspace and SPME sample analysis.
Access: walk-up open access
Carrier gas: Helium
Ionization: EI
Mode: Positive
Analyzer: Single quad
Software: Chromeleon 7.1
